Meet our Instructors
Denise Bell
Head instructor/trainer at Liberty Bell Farm is Denise Bell. Her entire life has been involved in the horse industry. Learning to ride and show at an early age she grew up thru 4-H and had her first full time job at age 18, teaching and training at a local farm in her area.
Besides competing at 4-H and open shows she later got involved with showing on the Appaloosa circuit where she competed for many years. Accrediting to her name, she has won national and regional titles, such as, ApHA multiple World Qualifyer , Futurity and G.E.A.R. winner, year end State & Regional Championships in English and Western Pleasure, & Halter. She also earned the title of being “TOP TEN” in the Nation in English Pleasure on her National Champion halter gelding “Foolish Pistol”. She also rode a mule at the Virginias Nationals to win the title of Reserve National Champion English Pleasure.
Some of Denise’s other crudentials accredited to her knowledge are , She is a certified Handicapped Riding Instructor, and was also actively involved into Team Penning where she has won money earned and buckles.
As well as being an instructor Denise is also an accredited English and Western Judge with over 35 years of experience. She has instructed riders to many wins at Open Shows, Breed Shows and 4H State Championships, in both English and Western,. Their winnings include Halter, Showmanship, English and Western Pleasure, Equitation on the Flat and Over Fences, Hunter Hack, Working & Handy Working Hunter, Dressage - intro thru Training Levels, Western Riding and Games. Denise has also successfully trained/instructed her own children and grand children to many wins and championships. She is also an active 4-H leader and coach for the Salem County Competative Trail Riding Team, where she has volunteered over 25 years of her life .
Liberty Bell Farm is well noted for “Young Children Our Speciality”. Denise’s soft spoken and patient way of teaching and working with young children has successfully developed a “Kindergarten Riding Program” for young riders 6 years old and under. These young riders have achieved many wins in lead line, walk trot, short stirrup and children hunter.
